I’m a writer and editor with a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario.  I love my Naramata life and want to share my passion for this slow place that quickly steals your heart.

Living it to the max a partial list of things that makes life interesting and makes for a varied blog: Ironman athlete, open water swimmer who trains in our beautiful Okanagan lakes who swam the English Channel on the Crazy Canucks relay team 2016, first Canadian team to swim the Catalina Channel in 2019, and now taking on a Crazy Canucks’ double crossing of Lake Tahoe in 2021, baker in training, Naramata-Blend cooking class series organizer, raspberry farmer, greenhouse grower, vegetable and flower gardener, wine and food writer, drinker and eater, avid reader, movie nut, photographer, collector of kitchenalia and antiques, traveller but always happy to come home…and lover of all things that the Okanagan Valley offers its lucky residents. Master too, it seems, of the run-on sentence.

Carpe Diem is our moto! Seize the hell out of the idea, the project or the layered cake…succeed or fail, that cake will get eaten anyway.
